± The film has a very interesting concept, if a quite French experimental film feel. The concept of the drug, which has similar effects to that of NZT in the film Limitless, is an idea qorth exploring though I wasn’t particularly fond of the outward manifestation of the abilities Lucy develops and how she manipulates it. The blatant control over reality - while, who knows, could be entirely possible - was a little too outside the realm of believability (or of the suspension of belief) foy liking. The structure of the storytelling, though, was nicely executed and the editing - cross cutting the storyline with the hypothetical ideas behind the premise - was a treat.
Memorable aspect of the movie:
+ Cross cutting. The editing is good.
- What was the point of Amr Waked’s character?
Would I recommend it?
> Not if you’re looking for a sci-fi action flick. If you are, just watch the trailer, that’s pretty much it. If not, then I guess it depends how well you take to French films.
